Abstract

Focuses on the production of war supplies by the U.S. industries. Risk of failure to produce the maximum possible of needed combat instruments; Use of excessive amounts of critical raw materials and skilled capacity into equipment that can be used only for the production of implements of war; Steps to increase the tempo and output of production for defense two steps are indicated; Suggestion that utilization of the medium-size and small plants in the U.S. would alleviate substantially the severe priorities unemployment problem that is developing.
