Abstract

This article deals with effect of signals with phase and quadrature amplitude modulation on the reception of signals with quadrature amplitude modulation. Numerical simulation of the bit error rate and symbol error rate is performed using the MATLAB/Simulink software environment. Based on the results of calculations, it was found that the impact of signals with QPSK modulation causes more bit errors than the impact of signals with 16-QAM modulation. The presence of a frequency shift between the information and interference signal increases the bit error rate, which is associated with the rotation of the signal constellation. Increasing the probability of bit errors with frequency shift increasing occurs up to the limit frequency, depending on the length of the considered bit sequence. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
