Abstract
- A distributed reaction-diffusion model with oscillations is considered. It is shown that diffusion flow can suppress self-oscillatory mode and cause stable stationary pattern formation. Different scenarios are studied in order to analyze the multistable behavior in the parametric zone of the oscillations. The effect of random perturbations on the oscillation suppression and the phenomenon of stochastically forced pattern transition are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
