Abstract

Field experiments were conducted at the Annamalai University Experimental Farm, Annamalai nagar, Tamil Nadu to study the effect of Site Specific Nutrient Management for Transplanted Rice Cv. ADT 36 and ADT 43. There are fifteen treatments viz., T<subscript>1</subscript> - 150: 15: 50 kg NPK ha<superscript>-1</superscript>, T<subscript>2</subscript> - 150: 30: 50 kg NPK ha<superscript>-1</superscript>, T<subscript>3</subscript> - 150: 45: 50 kg NPK ha<superscript>-1</superscript>, T<subscript>4</subscript> - 150: 60: 50 kg NPK ha<superscript>-1</superscript>, T<subscript>5</subscript> - 150: 15: 75 kg NPK ha<superscript>-1</superscript>, T<subscript>6</subscript> - 150: 30: 75 kg NPK ha<superscript>-1</superscript>, T<subscript>7</subscript> - 150:45:75 kg NPK ha<superscript>-1</superscript>, T<subscript>8</subscript> - 150: 60: 75 kg NPK ha<superscript>-1</superscript>, T<subscript>9</subscript> - 150: 15:100 kg NPK ha<superscript>-1</superscript>, T<subscript>10</subscript> - 150:30:100 kg NPK ha<superscript>-1</superscript>, T<subscript>11</subscript> - 150:45:100 kg NPK ha<superscript>-1</superscript>, T<subscript>12</subscript> - 150:60:100 kg NPK ha<superscript>-1</superscript>, T<subscript>13</subscript> - LCC:15:80 kg NPK ha-1, T<subscript>14</subscript> - 150:50:50 kg NPK ha<superscript>-1</superscript>, T<subscript>15</subscript> - control. The treatments were replicated thrice adopting randomized block design. The study revealed that in both the seasons, growth and yield components viz., plant height, number of tillers hill<superscript>-1</superscript>, leaf area index and dry matter production were increased by the application of T8 - 150: 60: 75 kg NPK ha<superscript>-1</superscript>. Application of treatment, T<subscript>8</subscript> - 150: 60: 75 kg NPK ha<superscript>-1</superscript> recorded the highest grain yield of 5280 and 5390 kg ha<superscript>-1</superscript> with ADT 36 and ADT 43 respectively. The treatment T<subscript>8</subscript>, was followed by the treatment, T<subscript>12</subscript> - 150:60:100 kg NPK ha<superscript>-1</superscript>. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
