Abstract

In the early decades of the 21st century, the world faced with an active development of information technologies, which is accompanied by an instant change of network protocols. Nowadays it is difficult to imagine the information infrastructure of a modern company without complexes of accounting programs, decision-making support, expert systems, knowledge bases, etc. All of them need reliable and high-quality engineering support. With the growth of information needs of society, the requirements for the quality of information and communication systems became more stringent. The use of computer simulation for ensuring the effective operation became relevant. During the research of control processes in information and communication systems it is effective to use the hierarchical approach for the developing of models, involving the development of multiple basic, local and global models. The article provides a structural, functional and load analysis of information system with priority management of heterogeneous load, shows the possibility of using singlechannel queueing system with a heterogeneous flow of applications to study various priority methods of traffic management; To determine the time of package delivery, the performance and reliability of the information system, analytical and simulation models have been developed with relative simplicity and clarity that allow taking into account the features of the structural and functional organization of the information system, recommendations are formulated on the use of analytical and simulation methods for modeling the processes of priority processing and data transfer for system analysis of the quality of operation IP of various classes, the results of which can serve as the basis for solving design problems new or modernization of existing information system.
