Design of detection terminal for active millimetre-wave imaging.

The diode is used as the detection unit to receive the millimetre-wave signal directly. A circuit is made with an operational amplifier OP27 to amplify the signal. The magnification of the OP27 circuit is stable at 100 <100 kHz. The performances of the detection terminal and the low-pass filter amplifying circuit are compared in different distance between the source and the diode with a polarisation angle of 70°. The result shows good sensitivity of the detection terminal in active millimetre-wave imaging. A one-dimensional imaging test on the detection terminal is performed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
