Gedanken zur Auffrischung des musikbibliothekarischen Profils in Corona-Zeiten.

Musikbibliotheken haben vor allem bei jungen Menschen mit Attraktivitätsfragen zu kämpfen, durch den Ausbruch des Corona-Virus hat sich die Lage weiter verschärft. Im Rahmen der Pandemie wird die Bibliothek als Dritter Ort vielerorts auf ihr ursprüngliches Kernprofil der Ausleihe und Rückgabe zurückgetrimmt, aber es gehen von der anderen Seite auch die Benutzerzahlen zurück. Ein weiteres Thema ist der Trend zum Digitalen und wie er sich in Bibliotheken derzeit niederschlägt. Der Aufsatz will Anregungen zu zeitgemäßen Raumkonzepten und dem Umgang mit analogen versus digitalen Medien geben. Nicht zuletzt kommt die Rede auf die Stärkung des Profils durch Kollaborationen. Music libraries are struggling to attract younger people, and coronavirus has made the situation even worse. In the context of the pandemic, libraries as 'third places' are being pared down to their primary profile as places of lending and returning media. At the same time, user numbers are on the decline. Another issue is the trend towards the digital and how this is currently reflected in library routines. The paper offers some suggestions for more up-to-date spatial concepts and the handling of analog versus digital media.
