Abstract
- The article argues that college athletes deserves to be paid salaries. Topics covered include data showing that the sports that make the most money for colleges are those with the highest proportion of Black athletes, the fact that the amount of money being made by colleges from sports continues to grow larger, and the Fair Pay to Play Act, signed in 2020 by California Governor Gavin Newsom, which permits athletes to receive compensation for the use of their names and likenesses.
