Abstract

The conditions of high-speed vacuum evaporation–condensation for producing granulated relite (a eutectic alloy of tungsten monocarbide and semicarbide) using electron-beam process have been studied. When the material is deposited onto cooled surfaces, the deposition products can be refined by removal of metallic and nonmetallic impurities depending on their vapor pressures.
