Abstract

The article discusses the impact and safety of nasal lavages (NL) during viral infections like coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Topics include the possible benefits of NL in upper viral respiratory infectious diseases, the effectiveness of saline solutions in improving mucociliary clearance in chronic rhinosinusitis, and the possible advantages and hars of NL to personal contacts/healthcare workers (HCW) caring for COVID-19 patients.
