Abstract

Purpose: To examine the relationship between Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) and female sexual function (FSF) with the luteal (LP) and follicular phases (FP).Method: We performed a cross-sectional survey using the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) questionnaire in the LP and FP. We used the Brazilian's version of the Premenstrual Symptoms Screen Tool (PSST) and the Daily Record of Severity of Problems (DRSP) for diagnosis of PMS.Results: There was no difference in the FSF between groups in both cycle phases. We found an association between LP and worst scores on FSFI.Conclusion: PMS does not affect FSF. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
