Abstract
- Initially, he developed mildly pruritic rashes after starting the anti-hepatitis C virus (HCV) treatment with oral ledipasvir/sofosbuvir once daily for 9 weeks; however, the skin rashes have deteriorated and persisted after completion of a 12-week treatment course. To the Editor, Direct-acting antiviral agents (DAAs) drastically increase the tolerability to and efficacy of the chronic hepatitis C treatment compared to the historic regimen of pegylated interferon and ribavirin. Pharmacokinetic interactions between Simeprevir and Ledipasvir in treatment-naive hepatitis C Virus genotype 1-infected patients without cirrhosis treated with a Simeprevir-Sofosbuvir-Ledipasvir regimen.
