Abstract

The article presents the findings of a research paper, which analyzed four cases of unilesional mycosis fungoides. The paper was presented at a meeting of the British Society for Dermatopathology. Histological examination of four male patients suffering from unilesional mycosis fungoides revealed that all had solitary erythematous plaques on the trunk or lower limbs. Further diagnosis revealed, in each case, a dense, often band-like, lymphohistiocytic infiltrate in the dermis containing at least 95% T lymphocytes with Pautrier abscess formation in three cases.
