Abstract
- This section features several library materials in the U.S. From Raffi's Christmas to classic piano music for bedtime, Music for Little People has a number of non-print offerings. A Hanukkah Sing-Along for Kids, a 30-minute Frosty the Snowman video and Gorillas in the Mix are just three examples of the products available from the company's Winter 1990 school and library catalog. Meanwhile, Bi-Folkal Productions' 1990 catalog features all types of materials to stimulate older adults' memories. Packages such as Remembering the Fashion, Remembering County Fairs and Remembering Train Rides include 15-minute programs in both slide and video home system formats, audiocassettes, manuals, skits and 25 booklets in large print, and representative paraphernalia. Cataloging: The Professional Development Cycle presents possible solutions to the problems of recruitment, education and training of cataloging librarians. Another technical service literature, Standard Cataloging for School and Public Libraries guides librarians through descriptive cataloging, subject access, and classification as well as describing local systems, MARC and bibliographic utilities. Political Science: A Guide to Reference and Information Sources, the fourth entry in Libraries Unlimited's Reference Sources in the Social Science Series, begins with broad coverage of general social science sources. This section includes titles such as the Statistical Abstract of the United States and the Encyclopedia of Public Affairs Information Sources.
