Abstract

The article focuses on the decision of the administration of former U.S. President Donald Trump to designate the Yemeni group Ansar Allah or the Houthis as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO) and a specially designated global terrorist (SDGT) on January 19, 2021. Topics discussed include the association of the Houthis with Iran, effect of the military advancement of the group in Yemen, and significance of the decision of President Joseph Biden to allow transactions with the Houthis.
