Abstract

Backing on a Bridge Expressway Project, the mechanical properties of road foamed concrete under the fatigue load, freeze-thaw cycle test and coupling action of fatigue load and freeze-thaw cycle are carried out in this paper. The results show that the unconfined compressive strength of foamed concrete decreases obviously after 1.2 million cycles under single-factor fatigue test, and the micro-cracks are initiated and gradually expanded due to fatigue load, and the strength deteriorates accordingly. Under the same number of cyclic loads, the compressive strength of the sample after the freeze-thaw cycle is slightly lower than that without the freeze-thaw cycle, and the freeze-thaw cycle has a microscopic effect on the sample. The initial fatigue load accelerates the reduction of the relative dynamic elastic modulus of the specimen. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
