Abstract
- Epidemiology, pandemics, SARS coronavirus, virus classification Keywords: epidemiology; pandemics; SARS coronavirus; virus classification EN epidemiology pandemics SARS coronavirus virus classification 4127 4129 3 05/27/21 20210701 NES 210701 Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) had caused a reported 2.9 million deaths worldwide by April 3rd, 2021.1 The impact of nonpharmacological interventions worldwide has been difficult to measure because testing capabilities, demographics, comorbidities, health infrastructure, and response differ across countries and territories. These data suggest that the measures to curb the transmission of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 pandemic during the first 100 days might be a factor for the different mortality rates across regions and countries worldwide.
