Abstract

The editors teach postgraduate and undergraduate courses on climate change adaptation in regional planning and landscape architecture disciplines at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the American University of Beirut. The final paper identifies urban planning and landscape design methods that publicly visualise local climate change effects so citizens can also appreciate how this global issue relates directly to the local urban form. This edited book explains the necessity for urban planners to have a role in addressing climate change and clarifies how the urban form is affected by global climate change.
