Abstract

The aim of the research described in the article is to examine the options of addressing power supply disruption in the selected sectors of infrastructure due to emergency situation: snowfall in the area of Český Krumlov and Prachatice districts in the Czech Republic on April 28, 2017. Based on the characteristics of climatic, meteorological and geographic data, consequences of power supply disruption are described with emphasis on the approach of the electricity distributor and the affected infrastructure (transport and communication networks - mobile operators) in selected sectors. Reflection on the intervention activities of the Fire Rescue Service units in making roads passable has been carried out. The article evaluates preparedness and intervention activities based on the case study of emergency situation management procedures related to the selected infrastructure and suggests recommendations for their improvement.
