Abstract

(D) The fang marks at the dorsum of the metacarpophalangeal joint of patient's left middle finger with surrounding swelling. Physical examination revealed two fang marks at the dorsum of metacarpophalangeal joint of the left middle finger with erythematous swelling extending up to five cm proximal to the bite wounds (Figure 1). To the Editor, I Ovophis makazayazaya i , a venomous pitviper recently elevated from subspecies to full species, is clinically important in Asia with a geographical distribution in Taiwan, China, and North Vietnam [[1]].
