Abstract

Recently, thin films of solid solution CdTe<subscript>1-</subscript><subscript>x</subscript>Se<subscript>x</subscript> are of interest as a material that can be used to improve CdTe-based solar panels. In this article, we study the optical characteristics of CdTe<subscript>1 –</subscript><subscript>x</subscript>Se<subscript>x</subscript> films obtained by the quasi close-space sublimation method was carried out. Phase analysis and crystal structure were studied by X-ray diffraction. The spectral distributions of the transmission and reflection coefficients of the films are obtained and their bandgap is calculated. The absorption coefficient α(λ) and the extinction coefficient k(λ) as a function of wavelength for CdTe<subscript>1 –</subscript><subscript>x</subscript>Se<subscript>x</subscript> films is calculated.
