Abstract

Focuses on the stability of the Soviet organization after the death of its premier V.L. Lenin. Information that there is apparently little expectation among either the friends or the enemies of the Soviet government that any change in it is impending in the near future; Claim that three years ago, or even, two, the death of Lenin would have thrown the Soviet émigrés and the western conservative press into a paroxysm of prophecy; Dissensions, within the Communist party, from which the Soviet government admittedly draws its chief active support; Claim that none of the important factions seeks to abandon the "New Economic Policy" of concessions to private trading.
