Abstract

HP EliteDisplay E243 HP's commitment to great build quality is obvious, but in all other areas this monitor falls behind SCORE PRICE £235(£282incVAT) from youritdelivered.com HP is currently promoting two variants of the EliteDisplay E243 on its website: the £347 E243d with an additional USB-C connection for docking, and the £239 E243m with a webcam and built-in speakers (but no USB-C). With so many monitors on test, we've split it into three more digestible parts: 24-25in monitors (plus one outlier, a 22.5in monitor from Eizo), 27-28in monitors and 32-34in monitors. AOC 27P2C Great value if USB-C docking is a priority, but the 1080p resolution counts against it SCORE PRICE £208(£250incVAT) from cclcomputers.com One of the curiosities of this month's Labs is that 27in monitors are often cheaper than their 24in counterparts, and this 1,920 x 1,080 screen - complete with a USB-C connection and four USB-A ports - is an excellent example. The key one is a USB-C port capable of delivering 90W of power to your laptop, in turn giving you access to a three-port USB hub built into the monitor and a welcome extra USB-C port. There's no USB-C connector here, ruling this out as a docking monitor, but an old-fashioned USB-B input is there to grant access to the two rear-mounted USB-A ports. [Extracted from the article]
