Abstract
- The chosen analysis method was the combination of the concept of footing with the identification of cues to find the speaker's meaning and the global meaning of the text. To this end, the authors gradually lead the reader into the traditional pragmatic theories of Searle and Grice, with sufficient space given to the discussion of indirectness within Speech Act Theory and Relevance Theory. In addition to the semantic-contextual indirectness of the meaning of the speaker's voice, the textual work of co-constructing meaning approaches indirectness from a pragmatic perspective.
