Mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic: listening is essential.

An editorial is presented on active listening being critical for the connection needed in mental health. Topics include combination of factors such as losses, social distancing, and the effort for processing an excess of information led to pandemic fatigue; and nurses primarily responsible for care such as privileged position for exercising the behavior dependent on listening.
