Abstract

The article reports on the economic and political condition in the United states. For more than a decade the doctrine of interventionism has completely dominated United States' foreign policy and has brought them to the gravest crisis in their history. During the last war they were promised that defeat of the axis powers would usher in a period of peace and security. In order that Germany and Japan may become their allies, there is a clamor for reversal of their policy of keeping them down militarily to nonentities. In other words, their staunch allies today may be their bitter foes tomorrow, and vice versa. That is the inevitable result of letting themselves be sucked into the maelstrom of old world diplomacy. Reasoning inductively from centuries of experience, the law of equal freedom, whereby men can work in co-operation under just conditions, has been formulated. It states very simply that man has freedom to do all that he wills provided he infringes not the equal freedom of any other. This has also become known as the law of association in equality. From this generalization they may reason deductively and arrive at the rules governing specific cases.
