Abstract

In line with a previous study, we found elevated levels of sputum CD4 SP + sp CRth2 SP + sp T cells compared with HC (Figure 1A; Table S2), suggesting a role for Th2 cells in driving airway eosinophilia in NAEB. Steroid treatment is reported to increase ILC2s cell death, reduce capacity for cell proliferation, and cell trans-differentiation. Brightling CE et al2 reported that NAEB patients had increased proportion of interleukin (IL)-4 SP + sp CD4 SP + sp T cells in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid, suggesting the role of Th2 cells in NAEB.
