Abstract
- This article focuses on hernia surgery. It has been fundamentally affected by the use of prosthetic meshes, which have dramatically lowered the rate of recurrence after hernia repair. Depending on the chosen procedure and the approach, the mesh is implanted in front of or behind the transversalis fascia, in the latter case, this is done through an open or laparoscopic approach. The mechanical pressure of these hard and abrasive meshomas on the adjacent tissues. The purpose of this article is to encourage surgeons to provide their radiologists with patients' symptoms, history of mesh hernia repair, and examples of cross-sectional images of meshomas.
