The allele interaction between apolipoproteinℇ2 andℇ4 in Taiwanese Alzheimer's disease patients.

The presence of anℇ2 allele alone was not associated with lower risk for AD, but the presence of anℇ2 allele was associated with anℇ4 allele frequency similar to that of controls.The low allele frequency ofℇ4 in persons with anℇ2 allele suggests that this may be part of the protective effect ofℇ2 against AD.
