Abstract
- The article informs that the 17th annual Academic Publishing in Europe conference had the theme "The Future of the Permanent Record." It is noted that the first keynote speech by Maria Leptin, president of the European Research Council, focused on quality and equity in academic publishing, whereas Todd Carpenter, executive director of NISO, started with a brief history of the Internet.
