Abstract

Protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) is a heterotrimeric Ser/Thr phosphatase that regulates the phosphorylation status of multiple proteins that function in diverse cellular processes. As shown in this Research Topic, there is still much to learn about signaling in T cells and that a more in-depth basic understanding of signaling mechanisms could be leveraged to control T cell activity and rationally engineer T cell-based immunotherapies.
