Abstract

This paper examines the transmission capacity of the power line with incomplete compensation. The dependence of the maximum power at dynamic stability on the degree of compensation of the intermediate synchronous compensator is determined for single power lines. At the same time, it is assumed that the EMF of the generator and the compensator behind their transient reactance are constants. This made it possible to use energy functions to assess the stability of the system. It is shown that, under this condition, the dynamic stability limit significantly depends on the degree of compensation of the compensator, which is mainly observed at high degrees of compensation. With a small degree of compensation not exceeding 50%, the level of compensation has practically no effect on the dynamic-stability limit. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
