INVITED EDITORIAL.

This article presents information on the comments by the author concerning the status of research activities of clinical psychologists in the veterans administration (VA). According to the author, in comparison to their colleagues in the medical specialties, clinical psychologists in VA medical centers conduct relatively little research. The Behavioral Sciences and Mental Health Merit Review Board (Medical Research Service, VA Central Office, U.S.) receives and approves few research grants from clinical psychologists assigned to Psychology Services.
