Abstract
- The construction of buildings and structures made of wood is gaining new popularity in the most developed countries. For example, wooden buildings over 50 meters high were built in Norway, Austria, Canada, and other countries. For the development of such construction in Russia, it is necessary to study the elastic properties of wood deeply. Numerous works in this direction were carried out in the Soviet Union by E.K. Ashkenazi. Based on the studies conducted, anisotropic parameters of elasticity were obtained for a wide variety of wood species. This paper discusses the numerical modeling of the deformation of longitudinally glued and cross-glued specimens of fabricated pine using the Ashkenazi model. The computational implementation was performed using the FEniCS finite element computing platform. The obtained results are compared with experimental data. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
