Abstract
- Identifying a normal-appearing ovary is the starting point for distinguishing an extraovarian pelvic mass from an ovarian tumor, but the greatest difficulty lies in determining whether the lesion originates from the peritoneum. Primary peritoneal tumors are unusual, poorly described clinical entities which, when located in the pelvis, can often mimic adnexal disease. [Extracted from the article]
