Mechanization of tobacco harvesting. The state, problems and prospects of development.

The results of researches on the current state of mechanization of tobacco harvesting are presented. The purpose of researches was to assess the state of technical equipment of tobacco farms in modern economic conditions. The analysis of tobacco harvesting technologies is carried out. The main design schemes of tobacco harvesters used for various technologies of harvesting tobacco leaves are analyzed. The main advantages and disadvantages of applied technical solutions are revealed. Foreign tobacco harvesters used in tobacco farms are studied. The disadvantage of which was the inability to adapt to domestic tobacco varieties. As a result, a project was developed to solve the scientific and technical problem of complex mechanization of technological processes for preparing plantations, carrying out machine harvesting and preparing tobacco leaves harvested by machine for drying. The project includes three stages and it will allow to solve the problem of insufficient technical equipment for the production of tobacco raw materials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
