Abstract
- Iron tailing and cement were used to modify the raw soil, 10 groups of formula were designed by using the simplex lattice formula design method. Using the raw soil samples as the control group, the damage patterns, compressive strength, deformation and stress-strain curve of the new material of each group of specimens were investigated, and the reasons for the failure of the specimens, as well as the influence law of modified material content on strength, discreteness and stress-strain curves were analyzed. The test results showed that the variation law of stress-strain curves obtained from each designed formula were similar, while the slope and discreteness of the curves were different. The increase of iron tailings and cement could improve the compressive strength of the raw soil material as well as its dispersion. Frequency analysis revealed that the compressive strength of the enhanced raw soil material reached a value between 6 MPa and 9 MPa with a 95% guarantee rate when the content of iron tailings, cement and raw soil set at 12.1%~19.5%, 13.9%~19.1% and 65.5%~69.9%, respectively.
