TCM Acupuncture Dialogue between Chiropractic and Osteopath Medicine.

Chiropractors (DCs) and Osteopaths (DOs) started out primarily by manipulating the human body to cure diseases without the need for drugs. With the development of American medicine, the two professions of chiropractor and osteopath have embarked on two different development paths. The Osteopath (DO) joined the Allopathic medicine (MD), and have become one part of the mainstream of Western medicine. However, Osteopaths are now also increasingly using medication and surgery, considered a departure from their original principles. Chiropractors (DCs) are not integrated with Allopathic medicine (MDs) as they still mainly use manipulations, but also they use other non-medication and non-surgery treatments. How similar is the developmental track of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China and abroad. Comparing the relationship between the segments of spinal nerves and meridians with the whole human body reveals the similarity in schools of thought. Chiropractic and Osteopathic medicine in the United States and acupuncture/Chinese medicine are highly similar in ideas and concepts. Combining these two schools of thought may be the best way to study the human body from the structural perspective and improve the integration of Chinese and Western medicine.
