Abstract

The article reports on the study to be conducted by the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) which will focus on the school system and teacher supply challenge in England. Topics discussed include the possible application of evidence-based policy measures to address the teacher shortage, the analysis of teacher recruitment and retention strategies in addition to their working conditions, and the pressure on teacher recruitment following the easing of pandemic restrictions.
