Abstract

The article makes an exploration into the impact of COVID-19 on the non-life insurance industry and how it will shape and implement its policies and strategies in the transforming environment to ascertain resiliency and sustainable growth. The pandemic has posited widespread impact on the comprehensive financial spectrum of world economy. Following the holistic economic shock, Global insurance industries have come forward with diverse policies and products with a view to adapting with the new-normal economic array. It is immensely significant to formulate multi-faceted policies, technological advancement and innovation with regard to insurance products and increased customer orientation both in new-normal spectrum and future calamities. Non-life insurance companies have tended to promote InsurTech to increase customerbased services during the COVID-19 period. However, comprehensive digitalization, modernization of health sector, micro-insurance for agricultural sector, competitiveness and sustainability in insurance business is imperative to assure a sound and extensive ambience for the insurance industry.
