Abstract

This paper analyses the spread of spilled oil through the soil. The effect of two dimensional porosity variations on the subsurface is investigated. The variations in porosity are described by the mean porosity, empirical constant and particle diameter. The coupled non linear system of differential equations are solved using perturbation method. The effect of various parameter such as porous, Prandtl number, Grashof number, Dufour number, Eckert number, chemical reaction parameter, Schmidt number, Soret number, retardation factor and porosity are discussed with the graphs.
