Abstract

In this paper research has been conducted by varying the internal design of the pipes that are used in the compact air to air heat exchanger to see if the addition of turbulizers in the internal section can result in an improvement in the ΔT at the exit of the pipe. We are also looking at the internal flow characteristics of the air inside the heat exchanger pipes. The drop in pressure at the exit of the pipes because of the addition of the turbulizers has also been investigated. All these analysis have been performed using the commercial software package ANSYS CFX and the results are presented in this paper. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
