Abstract

A biography of novelist and poet Louise Erdrich is presented. Erdrich was born on June 7, 1954 to Ralph Erdrich and Rita Gourneau Erdrich in Little Falls, Minnesota, across the Red River from Wahpeton, North Dakota. She grew up in Wahpeton as the oldest of seven children and was exposed to the cultures of both her parents. Her works include "Tracks," "The Bingo Palace," and "The Antelope Wife." Also noted are her achievements and an analysis of her works.
