Abstract

A biography of novelist and journalist Jessie Redmon Fauset is presented. Fauset was born in Snow Hill, New Jersey on April 27, 1882 and died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 30, 1961. She was one of the most prolific novelists of the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s Her works include "There Is Confusion," "Plum Bun: A Novel Without a Moral," and "The Chinaberry Tree: A Novel of American Life."
