Abstract

A biography of novelist and folklorist Zola Neale Hurston is presented. Hurston was born in Eatonville, Florida on January 7, 1891 and died in Fort Pierce, Florida on January 28, 1960. Her family lived in the all-African American Florida town of Eatonville in an eight-room house with a five-acre garden .Her works include "Jonah's Gourd Vine," "Their Eyes Were Watching God," and "Moses, Man of the Mountain."
