A biography of novelist, fiction writer and poet Ana Castillo is presented. Castillo was born on June 15, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois to working-class parents, Ramon and Raquel Rocha Castillo. She has produced poems, short stories, novels, and critical essays that focus on the multiple challenges faced by contemporary Latinas. Her achievements are mentioned. Her works include "Sapogonia," "So Far from God," and "Peel My Love Like an Onion."
