Abstract
- A biography of novelist and playwright Kristin Hunter is presented. Hunter was born on September 12, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to African American educators George and Mabel Eggleston and died on November 14, 2008 in Magnolia, New Jersey. She began her writing career at the age of 14 as a journalist for the "Pittsburgh Courier." Her works include "God Bless the Child," "The Landlord," and "The Survivors."
