Abstract

A biography of young adult novelist Cynthia Voigt is presented. Voigt was born on February 25, 1942 in Boston, Massachusetts to Frederick C. and Elise (Keeney) Irving. She attended Dana Hill boarding school in Massachusetts, where she developed self-reliance. She graduated from Smith College in 1963 and started working for an advertising agency in New York City. Her works include "Homecoming," "Dicey's Song," and "Tell Me if the Lovers Are Losers."
