Abstract

The boom in women's poetic creation in the 1930s is in striking contrast to its subsequent rapid decline and being forgotten. The study of women's scattered poetry collections enables the exploration of the reasons for their change from flourish to decadence, and the composing characteristics. Centered on the research model of the "nameless" poetess ShaoYin's scattered poetry collection ShiShuiJi, through the comparative reading of the old poetry and new poetry in the poetry collections, this paper investigates the expression strategies and derivative dimensions of the main emotional keynote "sorrow" in different styles of poems, and digs the commonalities and differences in the expression of life. It also glimpses the reasons why some "nameless" female poets in the 1930s drifted away from the domain of literary history in the canonization process, and shows the academic value of the study of these scattered poetry collections.
