We show that the Nakai–Moishezon ampleness criterion holds for real line bundles on complete schemes. As applications, we treat the relative Nakai–Moishezon ampleness criterion for real line bundles and the Nakai–Moishezon ampleness criterion for real line bundles on complete algebraic spaces.
